Microbial Enzyme | BioFusion™ | BioFusion™ Formulation | BioFusion™ Development | BioFusion™ Profile
Formulation and preparation guide (SOP) for BarIno™ BioFusion™, a microbial enzyme-based agarwood resin induction inoculant designed to activate Aquilaria tree defense mechanisms naturally. It promotes sustainable, non-toxic resin formation using beneficial microbes and enzyme biocatalysts.
Purpose
To stimulate natural agarwood resin formation using a bio-safe, eco-friendly solution composed of live microbes, plant growth–promoting enzymes, and organic activators.
I. CORE INGREDIENTS (Per 1 Liter)
Component | Function | Suggested Amount |
---|---|---|
Bacillus subtilis / Bacillus megaterium (spores or liquid) | Antagonistic microbes / plant defense stimulant | 10⁷–10⁸ CFU/mL |
Trichoderma harzianum | Induces plant stress responses | 10⁶–10⁷ CFU/mL |
Protease enzyme (plant-based) | Triggers localized stress signaling | 100–150 ppm |
Chitinase / Cellulase (optional) | Mimics fungal invasion | 50–100 ppm each |
Molasses or Jaggery | Prebiotic/carbon source | 10–20 mL |
Humic acid / Seaweed extract | Elicitor & plant defense booster | 2–5 mL |
Distilled water (non-chlorinated) | Diluent and microbial carrier | to make 1 Liter |
II. PREPARATION PROCEDURE
- Prepare Microbial Base:
- Mix Bacillus and Trichoderma cultures in a clean 1 L container with 500 mL non-chlorinated water. Ensure a live culture concentration of ≥10⁶ CFU/mL.
- Add Enzymes:
- Dissolve protease and (optionally) chitinase/cellulase powders into the solution. Stir gently.
- Add Prebiotic & Biostimulants:
- Add molasses/jaggery and humic acid or seaweed extract. Mix until fully dissolved.
- Top Up Volume:
- Add remaining distilled water to make exactly 1,000 mL.
- Fermentation (Optional):
- For higher potency, let the mixture ferment in a shaded, warm area for 24–48 hours, loosely covered (not sealed) to allow gas exchange.
- Filter:
- Filter through cheesecloth or 100-micron mesh if using injector-type devices.
- Storage:
- Store refrigerated or in a cool place, use within 5–7 days for live cultures. Add stabilizers (e.g., glycerol or trehalose) for shelf-stable versions.

SAFETY & HANDLING
- Non-toxic and environmentally safe
- Wear gloves and avoid direct contact with eyes
- Clean tools with hot water and mild soap
- Dispose of unused inoculant in compost or soil (biodegradable)
NOTES:
- Best applied at the start of rainy season or during high humidity
- Observe resin formation within 3–6 months in healthy trees
- For commercial scaling, this formulation can be prepared in 20–50 L fermentation tanks with aeration control
