Division: Oud Science & Technology Division
Duration: 5 Days (Lecture + Laboratory + Applied Evaluation)
Target Participants:
Agarwood oil distillers, perfumery technicians, chemists, quality control officers, researchers, and exporters seeking advanced analytical proficiency.
Every drop of Oud tells a chemical story — of nature’s defense, time, and transformation. Within its deep, mysterious aroma lies a symphony of sesquiterpenes, chromones, and rare volatiles that define purity and grade.
The Analytical Chemistry for Oud Quality Assessment Course by Oud Academia unveils the scientific truth behind this mystique. Here, ancient olfactory traditions meet modern chemistry — equipping participants with the laboratory skills, analytical techniques, and sensory science required to authenticate and grade agarwood and its distillates.
Through advanced methods such as Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), students will learn how to translate fragrance into data — and data into trust.
