Tree Growth | Blooming Stage | Epsom Salt Drench | Epsom Salt | Biostimulant Drench | Mild Sugar-Based
Simple and effective soil drench formula using Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) that can be used for general plant health, particularly for correcting magnesium deficiency, boosting chlorophyll production, and enhancing flowering and fruiting:
Epsom Salt Soil Drench Formula
Ingredients:
- Epsom salt (MgSO₄·7H₂O) – 1 to 2 tablespoons
- Water – 1 gallon (approximately 3.8 liters)
Instructions:
- Dissolve 1–2 tablespoons of Epsom salt in 1 gallon of water.
- Stir well until completely dissolved.
- Pour the solution evenly around the root zone of the plant (not directly on the stem).
- Apply every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on plant needs and signs of deficiency.
Best Application Time:
- Early morning or late afternoon (avoid midday heat).
- Preferably after a light watering or rainfall to avoid root shock and improve uptake.
Use Cases:
Crop/Plant | Dose | Effect |
---|---|---|
Tomatoes, peppers | 1 tbsp/gallon every 2 weeks | Prevents blossom end rot & promotes fruiting |
Leafy greens | 1 tbsp/gallon monthly | Improves chlorophyll & leaf color |
Citrus, mango, etc. | 2 tbsp/gallon monthly | Supports flowering & fruit quality |
Agarwood (Aquilaria spp.) | 1 tbsp/gallon every 2–3 weeks | Supports general vigor & inoculation recovery |
Precautions:
- Do not overuse – excess magnesium can interfere with calcium or potassium uptake.
- Avoid applying to waterlogged soils.
- Always test on a small area or few plants first if unsure.
