GOALS
- To offer internationally-recognized academic programs in both the undergraduate and graduate level
- To be robust in the Humanities, Arts and the Sciences; focusing on both the Basic and Applied Sciences to be prepared for the 4th and 5th Industrial Revolution
- To build a coherent, integrated long-term Development / Master plan for the university across the campuses providing a clear direction and defined course of action in the light of the socio-economic context of the locality and the region
- To provide effective and efficient student, faculty and staff services, administrative procedures and governance/ administration in support of the pursuit of academic excellence and a healthy academic life
- To create a vibrant Research Culture in the university where knowledge-generation through discovery, creative research, finding innovative solutions and meaningful collaboration are supported and a way of life
- To be innovative by creating high-impact academic Centers that will work across the research and community extension continuum and by emphasizing the value of research utilization and commercialization
- To create and support an inclusive academic environment – culturally- and gender – responsive
- To future-proof the university to be prepared to any eventualities
- To develop a Sustainability Strategy that will guide investment and R&D efforts (e.g., conservation and breeding programs, resource efficiency, low carbon technologies, renewable and clean energy and zero/ reduced waste)
- To have a flourishing resource generation enterprise through thriving income-generating projects (IGPs), royalties generated, endowments, donations and alumni support to its mission as an HEl
- To ensure equitable access to education
- To make a positive impact to the community we serve by being deeply rooted, engaged with selfless commitment and with patriotic fervor to be able to develop and implement community extension programs that will truly benefit the wider community; Truly Caring for the wider community we serve creates tangible socio-economic impact
